All products supplied by Eclipse Awards feature engraving, and therefore it’s important to allocate an appropriate amount of time for your project.  Standard lead-time for orders is 10 business days until required delivery.

Eclipse Awards calculates its lead times by determining when an order is placed and required, rather than how long it will take us to simply complete our services (excluding shipping).  Eclipse Awards instead works around your deadline and selects an appropriate shipping option to ensure your goods arrive to you when promised.

We take your required date very seriously and our job is never complete until your personalized awards are safely at your event or office.  Eclipse Awards is also the only recognition awards company to take full responsibility on behalf of our shipper in the form of our guaranteed on-time delivery and guaranteed safe delivery

Order Cutoff Time
The cutoff time for an order to be placed is prior to 10 am (pacific standard time), otherwise the order will not be considered placed until the following day.  Orders placed prior to 10 am allow Eclipse Awards to accomplish various required steps within that first day, whereas orders placed after 10 am do not allow adequate time.  This is important to note as it affects lead time.

Shipping Method
Eclipse Awards ships all orders via UPS Expedited Service (2 days, guaranteed by 10 am) or UPS Express Service (next day, guaranteed by 10 am).  All standard lead-time orders are shipped via UPS Expedited, while all rush orders are shipped via UPS Express service. 

There is a considerable price difference between the two services, so it is highly recommended your company try and place your order with as much lead time as possible to avoid overnight shipping and rush charges.

Standard Lead-time Orders
Orders required in 10 days or greater are considered standard lead-time orders.  This allows Eclipse Awards a comfortable amount of time to complete the various stages in the process and to have your items delivered to you via our standard shipping service (UPS Expedited). 

Orders placed with greater than 10 days will often be delivered within 10 business days.  However, if you have additional time we encourage you to enter your actual required date, as rush charges and overnight shipping can still be incurred if customers fail to approve artwork in a timely fashion and threaten the required delivery date.

Please make note of the following:

*the lead time is determined by orders placed before 10 am pacific standard time.  Orders placed after 10 am count as day -1 and therefore do not start until the following day as there is not enough time to effectively complete the required work to guarantee delivery.

*customers are expected to approve artwork within the required timeframe.  Failure to approve artwork can result in additional rush charges or failure to meet delivery date.

*holidays and weekends are not considered business days.

Rush Orders
Orders required in 9 business days or less are considered rush orders.  Rush orders require almost immediate attention to ensure their deadline is met.  All rush orders are sent via UPS Express Service.

The following charges apply for rush charges:

  • Rush 3 = Orders required in 9 business days or less.  Rush 3 orders are subject to the greater amount of $25 or 5% of the total order.*
  • Rush 2 = Orders required in 6 business days or less.  Rush 2 orders are subject to the greater amount of $50 or 10% of the total order.*
  • Rush 1 = Orders required in 3 business days or less.  Rush 1 orders are subject to the greater amount of $150 or 30% of the total order.*

The rush charge helps offset various additional expenses incurred by Eclipse Awards in facilitating rush orders.  The bulk of the additional expense is overtime wages for staff members who must work longer hours to ensure a project remains on schedule.
